In July of 2011 Sicco started a new agency, KINGSDAY with 3 of his partners from Euro RSCG 4D. At Euro RSCG, he was the intern that never left the company and eventually became the Executive Creative Director at Euro RSCG 4D. In that role he was responsible for the creative profile and output of both the advertising agency Euro RSCG Amsterdam and the digital branding agency Euro RSCG 4D.
Starting in '96 as a junior copywriter at Euro's PR agency (BIKKER), he accidentally ended up being the Netherlands most awarded online creative. Later he lead Euro RSCG 4D - together with a core team of die-hards, to top 10 positions in the yearly Won reports.
Sicco dedicated five years of his professional life to the successful Nokia Game projects for which he's considered to be the founding father. After that he shifted his attention to the other Scandinavian beauty called Volvo. As creative and strategist he has been responsible for the continuation of the Swedish brand's excellent reputation in online communication for the past six years.
Along the way Sicco picked up more than enough (inter)national creative and strategy awards for Nokia, Volvo and a number of other brands. His award list includes several Cannes Lions, Epicas, Eurobests, Cresta and Webby awards. Beerda is proud to have been part of several creative juries including Cannes Lions, Eurobest (president ’09), New York Festivals, MSN Awards, Crystal and the Dutch ADCN, SJP and SpinAwards.
